Cookie policy

May 2026

Pip & Fern keeps cookies down to the few the shop genuinely needs to run. No marketing trackers, no behavioural advertising, no third-party analytics in this setup.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a tiny text file your browser tucks away on a website's behalf. Cookies remember little things from one visit to the next, like which language you prefer, and keep you signed in where you need to be.

The cookies we set

pf-locale, remembers your language (EN, NL, DE, FR, ES, IT, PT, PL). Lasts 1 year.
pf-cookies-accepted, notes that you've dismissed the cookie banner. Lasts 6 months.
next-auth.session-token, keeps staff signed into /admin. Only set after an admin logs in. Lasts 30 days.
__Host-next-auth.csrf-token, protects the admin login form against CSRF. Session only.
(Stripe domain cookies), set on checkout.stripe.com while you pay. We never see them. See stripe.com/cookies-policy.

Saved in your browser (LocalStorage)

retapays.cart.v1, whatever's in your basket. It stays in your browser and only reaches us as part of the checkout you start.
pf-newsletter, set to 1 once you've signed up, so we don't ask you again.

Turning cookies off

You can clear cookies anytime from your browser settings. The shop still works; you'll just lose your language choice and the banner will pop back up. Without the session cookie, /admin won't run.
Step-by-step for your browser: aboutcookies.org.
